How your information is handled
Wealth Studio is a small private service run by Amit (apdigital.asia). This page explains, in plain English, what it keeps about you and what you can do about it. Last updated 8 November 2026.
What is kept
- Your account: your name, email address, the note you wrote when asking for an account, and when you joined and last signed in. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash – nobody can read it.
- What you enter: your bank accounts, deposits, funds, shares, pensions and policies, and the daily totals worked out from them so you can see your history.
- Account numbers: stored encrypted. The app only ever shows the last 4 digits.
- Sign-in records: the internet address used for each sign-in attempt, kept for 90 days to stop people guessing passwords.
- Fingerprint sign-in: if you set it up, only a public key and the device name are kept. Your fingerprint never leaves your phone.
- Notifications: if you turn them on, the address your browser gives for delivering them.
What it is used for
Only to run your dashboard: showing your figures, working out totals and returns, and sending the reminders you've switched on. Nothing is sold, shared for marketing or used for advertising, and there are no trackers or analytics on the site.
Who can see it
- You. Your portfolio is visible only when you're signed in.
- Not other users. Nobody else who uses Wealth Studio can see your figures, and you can't see theirs.
- The person who runs the service can see your name and email (to approve and manage accounts) but the app does not show him your figures. As the server's operator he could technically reach the database; he will only do that if you ask for help with a problem.
Where it is kept
On a private web server rented from a hosting company, reached only over a secure (HTTPS) connection. A backup copy of the database is made each night to a Microsoft OneDrive folder that only this service can use; each copy is kept for 90 days.
To fetch prices, the server asks Yahoo Finance and AMFI for share prices and fund values by ticker or scheme code only – none of your details are sent. Notifications are delivered through your phone's own service (for example Google's), and their content is encrypted so that service can't read it.
How long it is kept
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, everything above is removed straight away. It will disappear from the nightly backups as they expire, within 90 days. A request for an account that is declined is deleted at once.
Your choices
- See and download your data: Sign-in & security → Download my data gives you a file with everything kept about you. Your figures can also be downloaded as a spreadsheet from Downloads.
- Correct it: edit any holding in the app, or change your password on Sign-in & security.
- Delete it: Sign-in & security → Delete my account removes your account and everything in it.
- Ask a question or complain: email info@apdigital.asia. If you're in the UK you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
